Privacy

Short, because there isn't much to say.

This site collects personal information in exactly one place: the contact form. It is used to reply to you, and for nothing else. This page explains that in the detail the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 asks for.

Who is collecting it

ator, a software studio based in New Zealand, is the agency that collects and holds your information. You can reach ator at info@ator.nz.

What is collected

Only what you type into the contact form:

Sending the form is voluntary. If you would rather not share these details, you can still read everything on the site, but there will be no way to reply to you.

There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts on this site. Nothing is stored in your browser.

Why it is collected

To read your message and reply. Your details are not added to any mailing list, not used for marketing, and not sold, rented or shared for anyone else's purposes.

Who else handles it

Personal information is not disclosed to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Messages are kept for as long as the conversation they started is live, and for a reasonable time after so earlier discussions can be referred back to. They are deleted when no longer needed, and sooner if you ask.

Keeping it safe

The site and the form are served over HTTPS. Access to submitted messages is limited to ator, and reasonable steps are taken to protect them from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as passwords or financial details through the form.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information ator holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@ator.nz and it will be dealt with promptly, and in any case within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how your information has been handled, please say so first so it can be put right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page will be updated and the date below will move.
